Towns- Eastbourne-Beachy Head-Birling Gap.

A trip to Eastbourne back in August was a very welcome treat. It was 1000 degrees and I wore the wrong clothes. Being Northern it is a staple to always wear a cardigan if there is a slight chill. There is no chill in Eastbourne, it is boiling and according to Visit Eastbourne, 'A short break in Eastbourne will leave you feeling… ..re-energised, refreshed and invigorated.' Lets have a look at what we saw.

I liked the bandstand very much and there is a small piece about it HERE from Don McCullin's Looking for England. It is wonderful.

Onward after a big dinner of fish and chips, we drove up the many hills to Beachy Head.  First thoughts were; It is very high, it is just like off the tele and I am glad that there are public conveniences. Go HERE to read more.

On the way home we visited Birling Gap for ten minutes. It was also just like you see on the tele but it was very busy with pushing and shoving from various people with kayaks. Dan and I took it in turns to see the beach then we went home. Go HERE to see more.

For the whole day out, I will give it all a 9/10. A point knocked off for the pushing and shoving.
