Walks-Farlington Marshes-Hampshire-Part 2.

Hawthorn and caterpillar webs are some of the treats to see along the path back to the car. Walking back across the Hay Field you come to the A27 underpass. There is a lot to see under there with some very old graffiti and some relatively new. It is best you go yourself to see it all and take a torch.

On the other side of the underpass is a separate section where there is a pond and more marshland. A very big sleeping cow was present over the Styal and a sleeping cow is a restful cow. You can just about see him on one of the pictures. I will go back when he has finished his nap.

Walking along the shared footpath is quite noisy but it is made better, especially in spring by the blossom, bluebells and a sighting of what I think was a Common Redshank, but again, my camera lens is small, and my eyes are blind.

All in all, a lovely spring walk along the Solent Way and back again.
